Clinical Supervision
I have 15 years of experience in supervision acquired in a variety of mental health settings, particularly in personality disorder psychological services and substance misuse services. I hold a Diploma in Supervision from the Institute of Group Analysis, and I offer individual and group supervision sessions to qualified therapists and trainees.
The aim is to provide a safe and supportive supervision space for the practitioners to explore their work with clients and encourage new perspectives in clinical case management. An important aspect of supervision is to further develop an awareness of transference and countertransference in the consultation room and work through issues in the clinical work that obscure the therapeutic boundaries or influence clinical judgment and management of clinical risk.
I have experience supervising clinicians in the below settings:
- Psychodynamic individual and group treatment
- Substance Misuse and Dual Diagnosis
- Reflective Practice groups
- Mentalization-Based Therapy groups
- Brief intervention groups
