Couples Psychotherapy
Relationships can be deeply rewarding, and at the same time they also bring challenges. It is healthy for a couple to go through emotionally difficult periods. Therapy can provide a safe, containing, and objective space to reflect on specific dynamics, patterns and experiences that may influence a relationship’s equilibrium.
In therapy, couples often explore issues such as:
- Recurring communication difficulties
- Emotional disconnection or feeling misunderstood
- Conflict and disagreements
- Intimacy and sexual connection
- Differences in values, expectations, or love languages
I work with all couples, including LGBTQ+, trans, neurodivergent, intercultural, and blended families.
Therapy provides a safe, supportive space to:
- Discover new ways to communicate and resolve conflict
- Understand and honour each other’s needs and perspectives
- Normalise differences and unique aspects of everyone’s personality
- Rebuild emotional and physical intimacy
- Reinforcing caring for each other
- Strengthen empathy, trust, and connection
- Align on shared life goals and values and playfully continue creating a future together
Our work together focuses on respecting all perspectives, collaboration, reflection, and practical strategies to nurture a mutually fulfilling relationship.
Getting Started
We can begin with a 30-minute informal phone or Zoom call to discuss what brings you to therapy and answer any questions. From there, we can decide whether working together would be helpful for your relationship.
