Clinical Supervision
I hold a Diploma in Supervision from the Institute of Group Analysis and offer both individual and group supervision sessions to qualified therapists and trainees. My aim is to provide a safe, reflective, and supportive space for practitioners to explore their clinical work, develop new perspectives, and enhance professional growth.
Supervision is an essential part of maintaining therapeutic clarity and effectiveness, allowing practitioners to examine challenges in clinical practice, explore complex cases, and refine decision-making. A key focus of my supervision is fostering awareness of transference and countertransference, helping clinicians identify patterns in the consultation room that may influence boundaries, clinical judgment, or the management of clinical risk.
Through supervision, practitioners can:
- Reflect on clinical work in a non-judgmental environment
- Explore ethical and professional challenges
- Develop skills in case formulation and treatment planning
- Enhance their understanding of client dynamics, relational patterns, and therapeutic interventions
- Build confidence in managing risk and maintaining professional boundaries
I have experience supervising clinicians across a variety of settings, including:
- Psychodynamic individual and group treatment
- Substance misuse and dual diagnosis services
- Reflective practice groups
- Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) groups
- Brief intervention and time-limited therapy groups
Whether you are a trainee or an experienced practitioner, my supervision approach is collaborative and tailored to meet your developmental needs. Sessions aim to support your professional growth, increase clinical self-awareness, and help you feel more confident and effective in your work with clients.
